About Fairborn FISH Food Pantry

To relieve hunger in our community, the Fairborn FISH Pantry provides food and personal hygiene items at no cost to our neighbors who need food assistance. In addition to offering canned and shelf-stable foods, we also provide fresh items such as meat, dairy products, eggs, and produce. Fairborn FISH also hosts multiple events to address the health and safety needs of the community. Fairborn FISH hosts health fairs, safety events, job fairs and provides beds to children sleeping on the floor. The food pantry volunteers recognize the dignity of all people and believe food is an essential right.

Food Insecurity

According to Feeding America’s Annual “Map the Meal Survey,” the Fairborn FISH Food Pantry immediate area is located in a food desert, where 15% of the population is without vehicles and are more than ½ mile from a supermarket. Need in this area is higher than average due to increased poverty rates and food deserts.

Fairborn FISH has been serving the community for more than 55 years. When healthy food is accessible to all, a profound change takes place. Hope is restore and a brighter future becomes possible.
